She has, however, adopted her own take on the business world and this year secured the Middle East franchise for British designer Alice Temperley, as well as opened her own accessories store, Marami in Dubai Mall, which she plans to expand across the UAE and GCC.

Alabbar hasn’t always been interested in fashion though. In her previous employment she worked for an accountancy firm. But her passion for fashion started with an impulsive purchase of a Louis Vuitton bag. Suddenly Alabbar couldn’t get enough of shopping and unhappy with accountancy, she decided to make a switch.
