Syed Taher Ali is a prosperous entrepreneur and philanthropist well known in the manufacturing and energy distribution in the UAE for over a decade. A graduate in mechanical engineering from Nagpur University, Taher Ali began his career in one of India’s leading multinationals – Voltas Ltd. With barely any investment behind him, he followed his passion to go on the entrepreneurial route and launch his own electrical panel-building workshop in Mumbai.
He also successfully went on to develop humidifiers and other related products. When opportunity came in 2000, he took on a project to design one of the first state-of-the-art pharmaceutical factories in Dubai, which received a lot of praise from key players in the industry. After this, he started the manufacturing of power and distribution transformers.

Soon after, he rose to fame in the industry by manufacturing the highest rated power transformer (230kV/63MVA) in the entire Middle East in 2010. Furthermore, he diversified in the power distribution sector in the UAE by starting an MEP contracting company which successfully completed many prestigious projects such as the Weather-ford factory, Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium and DEWA Retrofit project with Phillips, to name a few.
A one-man army with the brain of an engineer and also an entrepreneur, he has now expanded his factories in India, China and UAE.
