This includes events company 117 Live, which organises shows for the likes of Ed Sheeran and Jennifer Lopez. He opened the Dubai Outlet Mall, bought franchise rights to US-based Gold’s Gym and licenses to publish Marvel, Warner Bros and DC Comics.
The four-decade old firm had already had activities ranging from real estate to construction, engineering, infrastructure, trading, technology and logistics. This year, the CEO also announced the launch of a 1 million sq ft entrepreneur and media hub in Dubai to help grow, incubate and fund talent. The ‘Nomad’ project will be located close to the Echo Plex off Al Ain Road, and will include flexible office and working spaces, as well as art studio and makerspaces, and one of the largest 3D printing facilities in the world.
