Al Roumi previously occupied the position of chairman of Adeem investment & Wealth Management Co. KSCC, and chairman of Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. Additionally, he is a company director of five other organizations, of which he manages and runs at a board level. Al Roumi comes from strong global management, investment, and real estate backgrounds.

For more than 400 years, his family traces its roots to the ancient pearl diving trade of the State of Kuwait. Over the years the Al Roumi family has diversified its holdings and has various interests in businesses and became one of the oldest merchant families of Kuwait and the GCC.

Alroumi Group Holdings is one of the largest, privately owned conglomerates in the region, and was founded by Mohammad Yousef Abdulrahman Al Roumi. A multinational corporation with operations across three continents, Alroumi Group Holdings positions itself as a leader in real estate, and investment management industries. Based in Kuwait City, the company conducts business investment, development and management on a global level, and has one of the largest real estate portfolios in the region.

The company’s subsidiaries are engaged in banking, investment, insurance, automotive, real estate, the hospitality industry, and the service sector. With his extensive experience, he has played an integral role that has helped Alroumi Group Holdings attain massive market presence in Kuwait, the GCC, and in Europe. His global experience combined with his natural ability to unite and mold successful teams has taken him across the Middle East and Europe.

In 2007, and as chairman of Adeem, Al Roumi led a consortium of investors to purchase a majority stake in Aston Martin Lagonda. After a 10 year turn around of the business, he recruited Dr. Andrew Palmer from Nissan to lead the business and execute Aston Martin’s Second Century Plan. In October 2018, Aston Martin Lagonda Global was successfully listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Al Roumi remained a director of Aston Martin from the acquisition in 2007 until the public listing in October 2018. Al Roumi was born and raised in Kuwait and received an undergraduate degree from Kuwait University. He is the eldest son of the founder of the group.
