The daughter of well-known Yemeni musician Ahmed Fathi, Balqees gained regional fame following the release of her first song Masaa’la Sahla. In 2016, she performed alongside legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli, accompanied by UAE-based NSO Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.
This year, she opened the 17th edition of the AFC Asian Cup alongside singers Hussain Al Jassmi and Eida Al Menhali.
