The Egyptian footballer and young forward rose to become the most popular footballer in the Arab world after a stellar season with Roma in 2016/2017. In his first season at Anfield, he scored a whopping 44 goals in 52 games and powered the club to the Champions League final and in 2019, he led the team to a Champions League victory against Tottenham Hotspur. In an interview with Time magazine, he called for a change in the way women are treated in the Muslim world, and said his attitudes towards gender equality had evolved over the years.
