As CEO of World of Wonders Real Estate Development (WOW RED) and UAE general manager for MAPA & Gunal Construction, Yahya Alkan has overseen a host of prestigious and innovative developments across the UAE and the region.
A highly experienced industry professional with an extensive network of contacts throughout the healthcare, hospitality and real estate sectors, Alkan has worked in the UAE since 2008, when he took on the role of UAE general manager for the prominent MAPA & Gunal Construction, which has operations all over the region.
A graduate of Istanbul Technical University’s acclaimed Faculty of Architecture, Alkan was appointed as CEO of WOW RED in 2015.
Alkan counts the launch of SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences in 2019 and the completion of the iconic Dubai Canal Sheikh Zayed Road Bridge in 2017 among some of his proudest achievements so far in the emirates.
The first flagship SLS property in the region, SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences in Downtown Dubai is currently over 70 percent complete and on target to meet its Q3 2020 handover target.
