Known for her inspirational approach to managing people and her dedication to excellence, she has held the title of CEO of KEO International Consultants for nearly 30 years and was appointed president and CEO in 2016.

Under her leadership, KEO, a multi-disciplinary project management, architectural and engineering consulting firm, grew from a handful of employees in 1991 to a firm of over 2,500 staff with 12 offices located throughout the Middle East region.

The firm has consistently been ranked for the past 15 years as one of the top ten PMC firms and one of the top 200 design firms globally.  

“There is no doubt that prejudice still exists against women,” says Sultan. “To encourage more women into leadership positions, organisations must increase entry levels to women, foster a culture that suppresses discrimination, recognises and mentors talent to allow talented women to gain the experience needed to compete for leadership positions.”

Sultan’s career includes more than 40 years of project delivery experience in the region.  She is the only female president and CEO of a globally ranked multi-disciplinary architectural, engineering and construction firm in the Middle East.
