Since joining Al Fajer in 2016, Sangeetha has driven a pan-organisational focus on performance, using innovative technologies, and advanced training of personnel, including the BICS certification for its entire cleaning team.

Appointed deputy CEO of Al Fajer FM in 2018, Sangeetha has driven Al Fajer’s holistic expansion in services, operations, workforce and business footprint.

During her tenure, Al Fajer FM has increased its commitment to offering sustainable solutions, in particular as part of its engineering and cleaning services. Green initiatives under her stewardship include commissioning a fleet of energy-efficient street cleaning trucks and water-economical cleaning systems that use minimal harmful chemicals, while providing superior results.

Acknowledging the need for employee safety, Sangeetha has established audit and HSE teams that scrutinise worksites for procedural adherence, conduct safety drills and ensure relevant KPIs are met.

Subject to regulatory approval, Al Fajer is also investigating the use of robotics to clean high-rise facades, eliminating the risk of injury. Some of the other employee-oriented initiatives Sangeetha has driven include recognition and mentoring programmes, as well as creating awareness around a healthy work-life balance, leading to a negligible attrition rate at Al Fajer.

With Sangeetha as deputy CEO, Al Fajer is undertaking a paradigm shift from service provider to a total facilities management partner.

The company has recently been contracted to provide security services for International City and Discovery Gardens, as well as several cleaning contracts on The Palm Jumeirah.

Sangeetha has also overseen a strong expansion of Al Fajer’s Specialist Paints Division, which is expected to become a major revenue stream for the company.

Her emphasis on organisational excellence played a key part in Al Fajer FM recently completing the ISO 41001:2018 certification, the world’s first international facilities management system (FMS).
