Designation: General counsel

A seasoned senior US-qualified attorney based in Abu Dhabi, Attiga is an international corporate attorney whose principal areas of practice are corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, investment funds, private equity, and dispute resolution.

She currently holds the position of general counsel of the Emirates Investment Authority and is the founder of the Arab Women Lawyers Group Middle East, a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting women in the legal profession in the Middle East.

“Networking events, especially those aimed at women, help women meet contacts, gain access to resources and ideas as well as raising awareness on gender issues and boosting confidence through access to mentorship and live examples of success stories,” she says.

Attiga has, over the course of her career, been instrumental in founding and managing multiple legal departments and teams in the USA, MENA and GCC.

In addition, she is a trusted advisor to investment teams and the C-Suite for start-ups and established corporations in the public and private sectors. Attiga earned her Master of Laws Degree in Corporate Law from Columbia University in New York City.
