Kadri is a Canadian ice hockey player of Lebanese descent. He was the first Muslim to be drafted by Canada’s National Hockey League in 2009 and has since served as an inspiration to many Canadians of Arab descent.
In 2019, Kadri was traded to the Colorado Avalanche after spending ten years with Maple Leafs. He was drafted number 7 in 2009 by Toronto, accumulating 161 goals and 357 points in 561 games. Kadri was born in Canada to Lebanese parents in 1990.
