Having posted not far off a AED1bn in revenues in its last financial year, Ramesh Ramakrishnan’s logistics giant is going from strength to strength. As the chairman of the Transworld Group of Companies (TGC), Ramakrishnan has become a well-respected businessman in the industry thanks to his success in creating one of the region’s biggest shipping empires.
As a commerce graduate from the University of Mumbai, he relocated to Dubai to take the helm of the company. Established in 1976 by R Sivaswamy, TGC started off as a shipping agency in Bombay.
