Hassan Chougle arrived in Qatar in 1978 to work for the Doha-based Mannai Group. After just two years he established Emad Electricals, which quickly became one of the leading electronic retailers in Qatar. Today, Chougle heads up a conglomerate that offers a diversified range of businesses including Emad Traders and Al Wakrah Fibre Glass. In January last year, Chougle was awarded the ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Samman’ award by the president of India, Pratibha Patil.
