One of the most famous names in the global hospitality industry, Gerald Lawless has worked at Jumeirah Group since June 1997 when he joined as managing director of the Dubai firm.
Lawless has overseen the launch of some of the emirate’s most famous icons, such as the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the Burj Al Arab Hotel. On the international side, the firm has also launched two hotels in London and one in New York. Elsewhere on the global stage, the Irishman is spearheading the group’s development of properties in the US Virgin Islands and Argentina. Prior to joining Jumeirah, Lawless spent 23 years with the Forte Hotels chain.
