Along with Israeli Yossi Alpher, Ghassan Khatib co-edits the bitterlemons family of internet publications, which seeks to provide a balanced and civilised exchange of views — from both sides — about a conflict that has been a thorn in the Middle East’s side for generations. Khatib is also director of the Palestinian Authority Government Media Centre and a former minister overlooking portfolios for labour and planning. He is a regular lecturer at Bir Zeit University, the first higher education institute in Palestine.
