Often considered CNN’s face in the Arab world, Hala Gorani is an anchor and correspondent for the 24-hour news channel. She has covered major news events in the Middle East, including the recent Egypt protests, and has reported from every country in the region, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan and the Palestinian territories.
Gorani has interviewed figures as diverse as Tony Blair, Rafiq Hariri, Nuri Al Maliki and Bernard Kouchner. Born to Syrian parents, Gorani grew up in France and spent time living in Algeria.
