Abdullah M Rehaimi’s appointment as president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in 2009 was designed to bring a business-oriented, outsider’s view to the running of the organisation. Rehaimi since focused on three core objectives: to liberalise the domestic market, improve operating policies and procedures, and invest in airport improvement and expansion.
