When Cyprus’ president arrived in Doha for a visit he was met by Panicos Petrides, on behalf of Cypriot construction company, Joannou & Paraskevaides (J&P) Qatar.
It is up to Petrides to ensure that it continues to follow the entrepreneurial spirit of its founders, George Paraskevaides and Stelios Ioannou.
The Pearl Qatar is the latest success in a long line of prestigious regional projects overseen by J&P since the 1970s in the GCC.
J&P has played a leading role in the region’s construction boom, completing highways in all types of terrain, as well as tunnels, bridges and flyovers, airports, housing schemes, palaces, luxury hotels, hospitals, universities, commercial buildings, sports and conference centres and military projects.
This wealth of experience has allowed J&P to expand and solidify its position as one of the most capable and reliable international contractors operating today in the MENA region.
With the roads and infrastructure for the Pearl Qatar completed, the company can now focus on the construction of the Qanat Quartier Precinct and its residential villa contract. The Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan is due to be completed this year as well.
