Omar Hamad Almana established the Almana Group in 1961 in Qatar upon graduating in business administration from the UK.

The group has 18 diversified subsidiaries and more than 22 affiliated companies and partnerships, many of which have been active over the last half century.

One of the largest business houses in Qatar, the group has made a significant contribution to developing the industrial infrastructure of the country.

Major projects include a mill for the Qatar Steel Company, a Qatar Fertiliser Company plant, the Ras Abu Fontas power station, the Qatar Gas LNG plant and Trains 3 & 4 at the RasGas LNG plant.
