Mustafa Sani Sener was appointed board member, president and CEO of TAV Airports Holding in 1997. He earned his Master’s in Fluid Mechanics in 1979 from the Department of Applied Sciences, University of Sussex, in the UK.
Sener has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate from BTU for his invaluable contributions to the development of Turkish engineering at the international level. Prior to his career at TAV Airports, he filled project manager and general manager positions in national and international projects. He has served on the board of the Airports Council International (ACI) Europe since 2009.
According to a 2010 survey conducted by Engineering News Record, TAV Construction ranks as the fourth-largest construction company in the World. It is constructing the foundations of the Abu Dhabi International Airport Midfield Terminal and the terminal building at the New Doha International Airport, together with Japanese company Taisei.
