Khalid Al Malik is responsible for directing developer Dubai Properties Group’s (DPG’s) strategy of delivery, growth and operations within the UAE. He also works on behalf of all DPG entities to expand new business markets.
The company recently announced plans to spend what it termed “millions of dirhams” in upgrading facilities at the $1.6bn Jumeirah Beach Residence, after it signed a memorandum of understanding with On-Time Management to provide services for the development.
Last year, the company, a member of Dubai Holding, won the Dubai Quality Award in the ‘Real Estate’ category at the 13th cycle of the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED), endorsing both Malik’s and the firm’s business excellence and quality strategies in the real-estate sector.
The company has many prestigious projects under its belt, including the Layan community in Dubailand, Al Razi at Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) and Cordoba Residence in Dubai Knowledge Village, among others.
Malik joined DPG in July 2009 from Tatweer, where he was CEO, and where he had the responsibility of driving the company’s expansion and development.
Malik obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, where he completed a double major in Management Information Systems and Production and Operations Management. He later earned an MBA from Zayed University.
