The Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group has a diversified business portfolio including real estate development, agencies for overseas companies, hospitality, food storage, gems and jewellery, automobiles and transport.
The company is also developing the $5bn City of Arabia project in Dubailand, which is due to include retail, residential, commercial and entertainment elements.
Having qualified as a chartered accountant in 1965, Khalil served as president of the Dubai chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for two terms.
