Rasik Thakker started out in Dubai in 1987, has lived in the UAE for the last 25 years. His company, Flemingo Duty Free, is now the leading duty free operator in India, based in Jebel Ali in Dubai.
The company was founded in 1997 and is Dubai’s only privately-owned duty free company. It has 62 retail locations and operates through a well spread network of offices and warehouses across India, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Dubai, and as many as 23 brands on its portfolio.
He also has business interests in Dynamic Traders, Blue Chip Computer and Crown Paper Mill.
