CEO Adel Ali puts the success of his airline, in part, down to the unstinting operational support it has received from Sharjah International Airport. But the airport’s director general Dr Ghanem Al Hajri has always remained modest about his international success and attributes the growth of Sharjah airport to “an excellent team of people working with me.” Despite a drop in global passenger figures, Sharjah airport received 70,000 more passengers in May 2009 than at the same time last year.
