Another member of Qatar’s new generation of financiers, Faisal Al Hamadi spent eight years as head of asset management at the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), masterminding the fund’s asset allocation and internally managed equity portfolios. In February this year, he became managing partner of Ory Capital, an investment advisory firm backed a number of billionaire Qatari investors. Al Hamadi has studied at Harvard Business School and has a degree in finance from the Kogod School of Business at American University. He has previously held directorships at Qatar Holding, Songbird Estates and First Finance Company (Jordan).
