Tarek El Sayed has held the top spot at Aamal Holding since 2010, working under the chairmanship of Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani. He was also appointed to the board in 2007, and served as vice chairman between 2007-2009. Aamal Holding has operations across 22 business units, grouped into four divisions: industrial manufacturing, trading and distribution, property and managed services. It also has interests in the medical and retail fields. In July this year, Aamal announced a joint venture with German mall management outfit ECE Projektmanagement. El Sayed previously worked for Arthur Andersen in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and has degrees in accounting and finance from Egyptian universities.
