Despite graduating wtih a bachelor’s degree in dentistry, Suhair Al Qaisi found her calling in media. The senior news anchor at the pan-Arab Middle East Broadcasting Center Group (MBC) started her journalistic career by reporting for Al Arabiya news from 2004 to 2014. Her talk show, From Iraq, reported on war conflict and violence in Al Qaisi’s native country.
In 2016, she was chosen as a celebrity partner to Iraq by the United Nations’ World Food Programme, having built a name for herself in the media. In her role, she assists in providing food for families affected by conflict, both inside and outside of Iraq. Al Qaisi’s influence is heightened thanks to a large social following of more than 900,000 on Instagram.
