Matthew Hurn is executive director of group treasury at Mubadala Development Co, the Abu Dhabi state-owned investment company that holds stakes in a series of blue chips abroad as well as high-growth industries in the UAE. Hurn’s responsibility lies with treasury and corporate funding, financial risk management, tax, insurance and investor relations at Mubadala. He is chairman of the Association of Corporate Treasurers Middle East.  Prior to joining Mubadala, Hurn was the group treasurer of DSG International (formally Dixons Group) where he was instrumental in developing the company’s treasury framework and strategy to accommodate its overseas expansion into 28 countries. He also sits on the board of EMI Music Publishing, SR Technics and Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies.
