Amit Dhamani

Company: Dhamani Jewels Group

Designation: CEO and managing director

Dhamani Jewels is one of the region’s most successful brands. Founded by Amit Dhamani’s father in Jaipur in 1969, the family business is now headquartered in Dubai, with operations across a number of counties, including Thailand, Lebanon, Switzerland and India. The group specialises in trading semi-precious stones and diamonds, supplying gemstones and diamonds to high-end brands, as well as creating exclusive designs for its 17 retail branches in the UAE.

This year, Dhamani Jewels was appointed as a Select Atelier for Argyle Pink Diamonds, owned by British-Australian multinational Rio Tinto Group, one of the world’s largest suppliers of diamonds and the world’s largest supplier of natural coloured diamonds.

Rio Tinto owns and operates the Argyle diamond mine situated in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia, and the agreement gives Dhamani Jewels direct access to the supply of Australia’s rare Argyle pink diamonds, and entrusts them with the responsibility of transforming the diamonds into exquisitely crafted jewellery.

During the recent Dubai Shopping Festival, Dhamani Jewels showcased a $7m diamond necklace featuring the rare pink diamond. The brand also showcased 11 pink Hero stones in their Dubai store featured in four separate collections. Five percent of all sales from the pieces were pledged to the non-profit Al Jalila Foundation for medical education and research.
