His Excellency Nadir Al Hammadi overseas Abu Dhabi Aviation, the largest commercial helicopter operator in the Middle East with a 61-strong fleet. Over the years, the company has diversified its operations with the establishment of Royal Jet, a luxury charter airline, and the acquisition of a 95 percent stake in cargo carrier Maximus Air. At present, Al Hammadi is preparing to start a simulator centre in partnership with Mudabala during the second half of this year. The company’s main activities support Abu Dhabi offshore oil, engineering and construction industries. Abu Dhabi Aviation’s net profit in the first quarter topped AED$55m, down eleven percent year-on-year.
