Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Development Company last month moved
into the music arena as part of a Sony-led consortium that acquired EMI Music
Publishing firm for $2.2bn.
The music giant represents entertainment powerhouses such as
Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Rihanna (pictured), Usher and Kanye West.
Dubai, meanwhile, holds a 20 percent stake in Cirque du
Soleil, the Canadian circus troupe.
