In an interview in 2001 a brand executive from UK retailer Topman described customers at the store as “hooligans” and said “very few of our customers have to wear suits to work. They’ll be for his first interview or first court case.”
He claimed the magazine took his comments out context and “he didn’t mean any offence,” but in what context he meant it not to offend is unknown as we’re guessing he’s no longer with the company.
