Dubai Financial Market records trade of 175.3mn shares

Three substantial deals were conducted by Dubai Financial Market, involving the shares of ‘Takaful Emarat,’ ‘SHUAA Capital,’ and ‘Salama – Islamic Arab Insurance’

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) recorded a trade of 175.3 million shares worth AED87.2 million.

Three substantial deals were conducted by DFM, involving the shares of ‘Takaful Emarat,’ ‘SHUAA Capital,’ and ‘Salama – Islamic Arab Insurance.’

The first deal involving Takaful Emarat was recorded at AED18.5 million for 44.5 million shares at AED0.419 per share.

The second transaction was for 6.3 million ‘SHUAA Capital‘ shares, valued at AED1.26 million at AED0.2 per share.

The third deal involved 124.8 million shares of ‘Salama – Islamic Arab Insurance,’ at AED67.4 million at a price of AED0.54 per share.

Usually termed as block deals, this enables local market investors and firms to conduct trades on listed company stocks without market price limit restrictions.
