Agility, the Middle East’s largest storage and logistics company, has been awarded four maintenance contracts by the US Air Force at a total value of $8.6 million, the firm said on Tuesday.
The contract has been awarded to Agility’s AFH joint venture with Versar Inc.’s Ferguson-Williams unit (35 percent) and privately held Hammer (the remaining 5 percent). The value attributed to Agility alone over the term of the five-year contract is estimated at $5.2 million.
The unit will to operate, maintain secure and provide safety and environmental protection for aviation and ground bulk storage operations on US installations in Japan, Korea and Guam.
Under the terms of the contracts, AFH will operate US government-owned storage tanks and equipment to provide fuel for refueling operations as well as the receipt, storage, testing and issuing of bulk fuel products at the bases.
