Facility includes two infinity pools, a chillout lounge, boutique spa, gym and grooming salon
Meydan has announced the launch of Meydan Beach, its new beachside experience in Dubai Marina.
The only stand-alone beach facility of its kind in Dubai, Meydan Beach houses two infinity pools, a chillout lounge, boutique spa and gym and grooming facilities.
It will also play host to renowned Milanese restaurant Giannino, the first venture for the brand outside of Milan, Meydan said in a statement on Wednesday.
Alongside Meydan City and Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa, the opening of the beach facility expands Meydan's leisure portfolio, it added.
Saeed H Al Tayer, Meydan chairman and CEO, said: "We are pleased to announce the launch of Meydan Beach, a leisure destination which has been carefully designed to complement Meydan's existing leisure offering."
He added: "Meydan is synonymous with a high-end lifestyle and every detail has been taken into consideration to ensure that Meydan Beach provides a world-class beach and dining experience to a discerning community."
Commenting on the partnership with Giannino, Al Tayer said: "When creating our signature restaurant at Meydan Beach we wanted to offer exemplary cuisine and world-leading standards, therefore Giannino was our number one choice.
"We are honoured to bring the brand to the Middle East and be the first Giannino outside of Milan."
Great news! The Marina deserves more quality restaurants as it is dominated by mediocre Pizza places.
I thought this was supposed to be part of the beach club for the JBR residents? well it was on the master plan.
its great but is it available to JBR Residents? At least will we get a discounted rate as local residents or will they keep us out and allow only the Meydan Hotel guests? I would look forward to a statement directly from the Meydan Management please.
That is what I thought also, and it is on the master plan as well as green area where the car park is. Oh well all change.
I am realy shocked , JBR residents have no Gym , no children playground , pay high maintinance and were promised that this will be a recreation for the residents but we get nothing .
We should all have a demonstration demanding our legal rights.
Absolutely disgusted by this turn around from what we were promised and still there are no gyms in our complex as shown on plans five years ago. We must fight to keep the beach free before all and sundry want this as well.
Another proof that DPG never intended to comply with the contractual obligation towards owners. Just saw an artice in the National about more shops and restaurants were the beach park was supposed to be. The insults towards investors by developers are amplified day by day. The trust in Dubai has reached it lowest level ever.
This area is so congested already with minimal parking. We have lost all confidence as property owners, first with developers and their unjustifiable service charges and now with banks who change the contracts and decide to up their rates and suddenly ask you to pay. Worst decision to buy here, we are selling.
...and don't forget, the magnificient airport runway and the JBR sales office sold to Meydan, now off limits to everyone!!!
Don't forget the al fattan crystal towers that will block sea views for over ten residence buildings and hotels for a mall on the beach. Who wants to shop on a beach inside a mall? They can't even make their little shops work in marine towers...
