There were 53 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in the UAE, as well as one new fatality

New coronavirus cases, deaths reported in UAE and Saudi Arabia

There have been an additional 53 new cases of coronavirus detected in the UAE, bringing the total number of diagnosed cases in the country to 664, it was announced late on Tuesday.

Additionally, UAE health authorities announced the death of a 67-year-old Asian national, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country to six.

No further details have yet been released.

On Monday, Dr. Farida Al Hosani, a spokeswoman for the UAE’s health sector, announced two deaths: an Arab man, 48, who had previous health issues including diabetes and heart problems, as well as a 42-year old Asian man who had a heart condition.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Saudi Arabia, 110 new cases of coronavirus were reported, bringing the total to 1,563, according to Al Arabiya.

Two additional deaths were also reported, bringing the total to 10.

Globally, there have been over 804,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including nearly 40,000 deaths. Approximately 172,400 people have recovered.
