Omani authorities have detected 106 new cases of coronavirus in the sultanate, bringing the country’s total to 1,614.
Citing Ministry of Health statistics, the state-run Oman News Agency (ONA) said that the country’s Covid-19 death toll now stands at 8.
A total of 238 patients have recovered from the virus.
Around the world, there are now more than 2.57 million confirmed cases of coronavirus, including over 178,000 fatalities.
Over 700,000 people have recovered after contracting Covid-19.
