Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed shared a tribute to Palestine in an Instagram story as the conflict in Gaza rages on.
The photo shared on his Instagram story was an image of the Dome of the Rock in the Old City of Jerusalem and a figure waving the Palestinian flag within a historical map of Palestine.
The caption read: “Palestine. Oh God, help and support them.”

Sheikh Hamdan’s post came a day after UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed called for an immediate end to hostilities in Gaza.
The UAE President made the call in a post on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend as he joined several diplomats and leaders in Cairo for a summit for peace in Gaza.
“The UAE stands unwavering in its calls for the utmost protection of civilian lives, unimpeded access for humanitarian aid, and an immediate end to hostilities in the Gaza Strip,” Sheikh Mohamed said in a post on Saturday.
“The international community must work together to avert further violence and wider instability, as dialogue, co-operation, and co-existence remain the other viable pathways to peace.”
UAE volunteers aid Palestine relief efforts
On Saturday and Sunday, over 10,000 volunteers across Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah came together to contribute to the “Tarahum – for Gaza” campaign, which was supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority and the World Food Programme and the Ministry of Community Development.
The volunteers prepared 25,000 urgent relief packages overall, with more than 550 tonnes of relief material and 120 tonnes of humanitarian aid – including food supplies and other essential materials for children and mothers, which were sent to Egypt’s Al-Arish to then be taken to the Gaza Strip.
The campaign was an extension of the UAE’s commitment to providing humanitarian relief to alleviate repercussions brought on from crises and disasters. The initiative was in line with the UAE’s approach, based on the principle of human solidarity, and a continuation of the UAE’s efforts to support and provide relief to the Palestinian people, WAM reported on Sunday.
