Nine Egyptians have been deported from Kuwait for participating in a protest organised by a group of former Kuwaiti MPs, according to state media KUNA.

The pro-Morsi protest was held outside the Egyptian consulate in Roudha to condemn what the activists said was the unfair dispersing of pro-Morsi protesters in Egypt and “oppression and killing” by security forces.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammed Al Khaled said it was illegal for expatriates to demonstrate without prior permission.
