Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah has directed the heads of all municipalities in Sharjah to conduct daily field tours to assess the needs of the public.
The initiative was announced via the ‘Direct Line’ programme broadcast on Sharjah Radio and Television.
On Thursday, the emirate’s Department for Human Resources officially announced a public holiday on account of the Islamic New Year.
According to the statement, the holiday is set to begin on Thursday, July 20. Official working hours for employees will resume on Monday, July 24.
Additionally, the emirate also announced a new ‘One-Day Test’ initiative.
The service will be divided into two stages: an electronic phase and an in-person phase.
