The US election is very likely to come down to voting in just 7 key “swing” states where the polls just both candidates are closely tied.
Here’s what to look out for, and how many electoral college votes they count for.
1. Pennsylvania – 19
Win this and you are on the way to the White House. Latest polls put Trump just ahead.
2. Georgia – 16
Another one where Trump appears to be edging ahead. If he loses this, hard to see how he can win.
3. North Carolina – 16
Again the polls show a very small lead for Trump.
4. Michigan – 15
The polls show Harris slightly ahead and she really cannot afford to lose this. If she does, likely to be game over.
5. Arizona – 11
Polls show Trump has a decent lead, so any win for Harris is curtains for Trump.
6. Wisconsin – 10
Harris edging ahead in the polls, another must-win for her.
7. Nevada – 6
Very close to call on this one with polls showing a dead heat.
