The average price of luxury homes in top Indian cities posted a rise of 23 per cent to the region of INR 12.3 million ($145,670) in the first half of 2024, an industry report said.
The January-June period saw sales of 235,200 units in the high-end segment, the report by Anarock, a leading real estate consultancy in India and GCC, said.
Though the total number of units registered a marginal decline of 3 per cent in the first half of this year compared to the same year-ago period, the sales values were higher by 18 per cent, the report said.
The Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) saw the highest growth in average ticket size at 56 per cent, with prices rising from approx. INR 9.3 million in H1 2023 to INR 14.5 million in the first half of this year.
Bengaluru witnessed the second highest jump in average ticket size among the top 7 Indian cities, followed by Hyderabad, Anarock data showed.
The report also said there has been record new launches and sales of costlier homes across the top 7 cities in H1 2024 amid escalating demand for luxury homes.
