As the nomination process for the Arabian Business StartUp Awards 2018 will close on Sunday 16th September, the UAE’s entrepreneurs are encouraged to put forward recommendations and take part in the annual celebration.

The event will take place at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre on Tuesday 23rd October to recognise the country’s best performing start-ups, SMEs and entrepreneurs.

Awards will be presented to winners in the following 14 categories: Entrepreneur of the Year, Funding Initiative of the Year, Incubator/Accelerator of the Year, Intrapreneur of the Year, Investor of the Year, Mentor of the Year, New Media Start Up of the Year, People’s Choice Award Entrepreneur of the Year, SME Leader of the Year, SME of the Year, Social Enterprise of the Year, Start Up of the Year, Start Up Programme of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Those interested in taking part can submit their nominations at the awards website, where they will be asked to explain in 500 words or less why the nominee deserves to win. An editorial panel will then select a winner for each category.

The website also allows guests to book seats or tables (10 seats), and provides information for those wishing to sponsor the event.

Arabian Business StartUp Academy to discuss social media strategies

The quarterly event will also see social media platforms offer their insights on how small companies can best to use their platforms

Launched in 2012, the Arabian Business StartUp events, which include the quarterly Arabian Business StartUp Academy, have acted as a platform to help the region’s entrepreneurs gain in-depth advice on how to drive profit, increase sales, and successfully grow and expand their businesses.
