The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, a subsidiary of Dubai Chambers, has released the Dubai Startup Guide.

This handbook aims to assist entrepreneurs and startups in establishing their businesses in Dubai.

The guide provides an overview of Dubai’s startup ecosystem, including legal requirements, business setup options, and funding opportunities. It lists key entities supporting startups, along with information on Dubai’s accelerators, business incubators, sandboxes, and free zones.

New handbook helps startups navigate Dubai’s business landscape

The release precedes Expand North Star 2024, described as “the world’s largest gathering for startups and investors,” according to a statement by the Dubai Media Office (DMO).

The event, organised by Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the chamber, will run from Sunday to October 16 at Dubai Harbour.

The guide offers sector-specific guidelines for ten areas of the digital economy, including artificial intelligence, 3D printing, cybersecurity, digital assets, fintech, edtech, gaming, healthtech, software/SaaS, and metaverse/Web3.

“The guide is designed to help both local and international startups navigate Dubai’s business landscape, empowering them to make informed decisions and leverage the city’s unique position as a global business hub. Additionally, it provides practical advice, access to online resources, and recommendations for tailored support, enabling entrepreneurs to confidently start or expand their businesses in Dubai,” the statement said.

Expand North Star is set to host approximately 1,200 vetted investors and 1,800 startups from over 100 countries, which the organisers claim is “the highest number of late-stage startups at any event globally,” the statement added.

The Dubai Startup Guide is available for download on the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy website.
