Entrepreneurs of The Week: Jumana and Linda Al Darwish, The Happy Box

Dubai-based start-up educational has launched a charity initiative to help children at an orphanage in Jordan

The last few weeks has been an important time for Jumana and Linda Al Darwish, founders of The Happy Box.

The Dubai-based start-up, which provides monthly educational activity boxes for children, launched its CSR initiative, Happy Hearts.

Through the project, for every Happy Box sold, the company is donating a Happy Box to a child in need, starting at an orphanage centre in Amman, Jordan.

Hundreds of Happy Boxes have been delivered to children at the centre, who hail from across the Middle East and have lost one or both parents.

Writing on the Happy Box website, the team said: “We are strong believers in supporting those less fortunate than us… It was truly one of the most incredible moments for us since the launch of The Happy Box.”

Jumana and Linda Al Darwish are worthy winners indeed of our first ever Entrepreneur of the Week accolade.
