While Shane, who was diagnosed with the disease on March 17, was critically symptomatic and showed signs including high fever, shivering, lost appetite, pains and dry cough, his wife Suman was completely asymptomatic all throughout, despite being diagnosed with the disease.
While Shane’s experience shows that the disease can be brutal and shouldn’t be treated just as a common flu, Suman’s experience demonstrates why social distancing is paramount.
