Car bombs hit Baghdad

A wave of car bombings across Baghdad, Iraq, have killed at least 28 people in mainly Shia areas. The latest surge of violence comes after a period of relative calm following the country’s elections. The attacks came as people were celebrating the birthday of Imam Ali, the cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
