Andrew Tate has been released from jail.

The controversial social media influencer and his brother Tristan have been removed from jail in Romania and placed under house arrest.

Tate was detained in Romania after he was arrested in January on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

Associates of the Tate brothers, Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu, are also being released.

Documents released by an appeals court in Bucharest said it: “rejects the proposal to extend the duration of the preventive arrest measure.. regarding the defendants Tate III Emory Andrew, Tate Tristan, Naghel Georgiana Manuela and Radu Alexandra Luana.

“[The court] replaces the measure of preventive detention ordered against the defendants.. with the preventive measure of house arrest, for a period of 30 days.”

The court ordered the immediate release of all four.

The Tate brothers have been held since December amid the allegations against them. Both have denied any wrongdoing.

No charges have yet been brought against Tate or their Romanian associates.

Andrew Tate and brother Tristan have had four previous appeals to be released rejected since being taken into custody on December 29.
