Facebook boost for start-up & SME social media strategies

September 19 edition of the Arabian Business Start-Up SME Academy in Dubai will focus on a sales and marketing

Facebook rolled out a facility for pages to create new Facebook groups, or to link existing groups with their page.

This feature began testing in April and is now available globally, opening up opportunities for start-ups and SMEs in the GCC to accelerate their social media following.

This new tool can be of significant help to start-up and SME page social media administrators who also administer a group to build communities and drive authentic conversations in groups around their business or brand as their Page identity.

Such a facility to build communities and followings on the Facebook platform is just the latest of the fast-moving developments in the use of social media to create and harness brand power.

The September 19 edition of the Arabian Business Start-Up SME Academy in Dubai will focus on a sales and marketing, with a spotlight on social media strategies, including making the most of this new development, as well as insights from established industry experts.

The event is free to attend for start-up founders and SME owners and takes place between 8.30am-midday on September 19th.
