Etihad Airways on Sunday unveiled golfer Martin Kaymer as the latest addition to its Guest Ambassador programme.
The German, who rolled in the winning putt to win the Ryder Cup for Europe in 2012 and won the US PGA Championship in 2010, will work on a series of initiatives to raise Etihad’s brand in Germany and other key markets around the world.
Kaymer, who has also won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship a record three times, is filming a promotional video in Abu Dhabi this week to showcase Etihad, the airline said in a statement.
The shooting schedule coincides with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship 2014, with Kaymer competing for his fourth title at Abu Dhabi Golf Club between January 16-19.

The Etihad Guest Ambassador programme was launched in October 2013 and also features Australian celebrity Dannii Minogue, Indian actress Katrina Kaif, Vietnamese Australian chef Luke Nguyen, French footballer Patrick Vieira, and Australian cricketer Shane Warne.
Kaymer said: “As a professional golfer, I am constantly travelling around the world and need to arrive feeling relaxed, energised and ready to go. Little things make a big difference when you travel as much as we do.
